Week 3 - Cousins

My theme this week pretty much decided itself. With my girls going down to my parents and my sisters (where all the other cousins were) for a few days, then my niece Emmy coming back up here for 3 nights, the whole week was really about family. I love that my family live close by.

Week 2 - Priorities

I'm kind of liking the big photo backgrounds at the moment. I started off using the paint splats that came with the template, then decided to go with the view from my back yard this week. It's another way to fit in some photos, and it also means something to me. When Brooke goes back to school I'm going to see if I can get a panoramic shot of her school for that weeks 365 background (February). I'm not sure if I'll continue to do big photo backgrounds all year though. I'm just going with the flow at the moment...seeing what feels right.

A new approach to Project 365 for 2010 - Week 1

I really enjoyed doing Project 365 last year, and wanted to do it again this year but out of necessity had to change it up a little. I have so many other projects I want to do this year as well, that I had to find a way to simplify P365 in order to make it less time consuming. The scrapping part of it anyway. Enter stage right, Biograffiti's P365 Simple Solution Templates. How perfect. I knew as soon as I saw them that that was the way I wanted to go. I was lucky enough to win the January pack on her blog, and couldn't wait to scrap with them.

They're also available in 8.5x11 size too.

I quite like that she provides a journalling prompt with each template set. Last year I just wrote a small caption/story about each photo, but having thought about it now, I quite like the idea of a running commentary about whatever theme is going on that week. Something a bit more flowing. I think journalling is essential (for me anyway), and I'm excited to share a little bit more about our family life, dreams and aspirations on this years Project 365. So, without further ado, here are my first pages...simple and not overly embellished...

Last 365 pages for 2009

I've had a lot of fun doing this project. The variety of kits/styles and templates I've used has kept me excited the whole way through, and at no stage have I contemplated not finishing it. I actually think I'm about a week short since I didn't start right on 1 Jan 2009, but since I'm going to be doing a 365 album for 2010 too, I don't think it really matters. So, here are the last pages. Stay tuned for an announcement about my plans for Project 365 in 2010.
