Week 43 - Happy Birthday Brooke!

Brooke understood that having a party on her actual birthday (Oct 19th) wasn't possible with Daddy coming home right about then, and was happy to delay it a couple of weeks. The day was beautiful, she had a great time with friends, and everything was just perfect for her party. What a beautiful young girl she is. We are beyond proud. Detailed images in my Oscraps gallery.

Week 42 - Cherishing Every Moment

Our attention this week was understandably all about Daddy and spending time with him. Brooke turned seven, and we went out for dinner, but will celebrate with a party for her at the end of the month. I can't even describe how happy we all are to be together again. Detailed views in my Oscraps Gallery.

Week 41 - Daddy comes home

This was a much anticipated event for us. Hubby had been away for six months, and we were so ready to welcome him home again. The kids painted a big welcome back banner, we got his Mum to send a batch of his favourite cookies from Christchurch, and the house had been spring cleaned in readiness. I think I was nervous as much as excited too, but the moment he arrived home all was good again. We've really missed him. You can see it up close in my Oscraps gallery.

Week 39 - Work, rest, play

Isn't it funny how when you're a Mum and you finally get a week to yourself, you spend it cleaning, doing housework, catching up on jobs and the like. I had a great week though, and the kids loved staying with their grandparents and cousins. Detailed images in my Oscraps gallery.

Week 38 - The books we read

I wanted to record what books we're into this year. As the kids grow their choices are certain to change. It'll be interesting to see if either of them pick up their parents love for fantasy science fiction. You can see this layout in detail HERE.

Week 37 - Products we use

Sometimes I think it's looking back on the little everyday things that show us how much has really changed. Detailed views in my Oscraps Gallery.

Week 36 - Emergency Preparedness

I think the journalling this week explains it all. I'm so glad I've done this now.
